Founder's Day Committee
At the July 10, 2025 City Council Meeting, Mayor Berg introduced the Founder’s Day Committee and the Council approved the motion. The Council agreed to appoint a five-person committee, one appointed Councilmember, and a City liaison. The purpose of the Committee is to celebrate Lonsdale’s 100+ year history, America’s Semiquincentennial (250 birthday), and coordination:
· July 3, 2026 Founders Festival,
· Coordinate event logistics with local businesses,
· Establish City sponsored historical special events (Historic 3R Landmark School),
· Coordinate fireworks display fundraising and donation initiatives.
